FLUX[US] - digital media 2010-11

INFORMATION: a new installation created by Sally Morris and Barry Davies (members of the Digital Media Team) working with Andrew Williams (artistic director) and performers. It comprises still images, image sequences, sound and video exploring identity and disability. All the Images are of performers wearing a plain face mask within a Derbyshire quarry - hiding the area of the body which is normally exposed and is commonly our main focus of identity, while exposing parts which are normally hidden.  Flux[us] develops a character through which we can re examine notions of taboo, identity, naivety and the perception of disability.
